There were a lot of loose ends left untied. But the lack of the Guardians is what pissed me off the most.
Yes yes, they supposedly died when Omega exploded. Since when? Seriously. I played the hell out of MMZ3, and that last fight especially. I saw the ending I dunno how many times, and never did I get that they were supposed to have been killed there.
Considering how big a role the Guardians played in the rest of the series, the least they could have done was given them the obvious and dramatic deaths they deserved. Not this "Oh snap, explosion, focus change, no word on them ever again. By the way, turns out they died." crap.

Good point there. I was kind of wondering what happened when they weren't in Z4 and suddenly "Hey they died right there".
I don't think this Collection will tie any loose ends. It's just a recompiling effort into a new console system they want to follow.

Pretty much. And by plot points I meant pretty much any ongoing story they had between Zero and the Guardians, you know, that rivalry that Zero and Harpuia had, or the fact that I was so eagerly waiting to see them as allies in Z4 (I mean, the way Z3 ended that's what you would've expected) and instead you get nothing. No mention of them.
And they did NOT die in Z3. There was no indication of them getting taken with the explosion. They were just left unmentioned. If you wanna assume that then go ahead, but I think it's just Capcom being lazy and screwing the fans over.

I'm going to have to take a statement issued by Capcom that they died rather than assume on my own based on speculation that they have not, since Capcom's the only official statement for now.
But in any case, countdown to June 8th is a month or more away.

If you wanna assume that then go ahead, but I think it's just Capcom being lazy and screwing the fans over. When I get ahold of my MMZ Complete works book again I can prove to you that the creators stated that the remaining three guardians died in omega's ka-boom. Retarded you say? Not so much. If you recall all were still damaged from their fight with Omega earlier in the game, Harpiua mostly. The Dark Elf effected them when they came in the help Zero, and all were one their knees (Metaphorical) by the time Zero was able to get up and perform the finishing blow. You'll notice that X brought Zero out in time before anything could truly harm him, while he left the other 3 at the site, which most likely fell on them as well. Then X dies, permanently. Why did they die? With them gone Wiel was now in complete control of Neo Arcadia, AKA the world. Once more, with them gone along with X, the game brought forth a dramatic ending of the world ruler vs the god of destruction. Weather you like it or not, that is what happened, stated by Capcom.

But not in the game. And that's what we're complaining about. I don't want to have to buy a book from Japan explaining a video game's story to me.

We don't care what Capcom stated. We care about what happened in the games. It was total bullshit that the death of the guardians wasn't more elaborate, and wasn't actually made obvious or even stated in the game.
You're doing something wrong when you need to explain the story of your game to someone after they've already beaten it.

What are the odds that they are going to change anything plot-related in the games itself in Collection so that this loose end can be tied up?
And, probably off topic, but as the Guardians are made into the Biometal forms in ZX and ZXA, isn't that somewhat a tiny hint that what Capcom said, instead of the game, is true that they did die at the Omega explosion kaboom?

Fann, we're not arguing that the Zero Collection will or even should tie up the loose ends (at least I'm not.) That's not the point. The point is it's stupid that they didn't explain that in-game.
And the fact that they were Biometals in the ZX Series does not explain that they died in that fight at all. It explains that they died at some time, which you'd think would be obvious by then. It was very, very bad writing on Capcom's part to not have the Guardians present in Z4, and to just write them off as "They died at the end of Z3 with no real explination."
Though the whole argument is indeed off topic.

June edition of Nintendo Power also features a two-page preview of Mega Man Zero Collection which clarifies some details about the collected version’s new features. One thing people had wondered about was the availability of eReader cards, which were sold for the Game Boy Advance peripheral in Japan, but never made their way Stateside. According to NP, Zero 3 will indeed feature the cards, now referred to as “Mod Cards.” Utilizing them can enhance your weapons’ strength and alter graphics. “Would you like your home base to be swarming with cats? There’s a mod card for that!” And the effects can be turned on and off as one desires. Unfortunately, it remains unknown whether this includes the cards which opened the characters’ individual mini-games, or if there may be one to emulate the effect of connecting Zero 3 to a MegaMan Battle Network game. The game also boasts unlockable bonuses, including wallpaper and character cards. But the most welcome addition for some fans may be the new Easy Scenario mode. In this mode, the player is granted more health, four Sub-Tanks to restore their energy when times are tough, and immediate access to all of the Cyber-Elves (spikes are still one-hit kills, though). However, there is a catch: to play in this mode means you have to play the games in order. By the sound of things, Capcom is making sure that this collected version of Zero’s trials will be well worth the money spent, even for those who might already have the original Game Boy Advance releases… particularly for those who might have never finished them.

I see.
On another note, 34 more days to the Collection's launch.
If anyone's interested, get your wallets ready.
